Jon your entry was a little kiampah, but deserves a good round of applause nevertheless for it's sheer guts+wits+oneEness.

Our class blog has been really dead, so can you guys start blogging entries more often? On top of that. Do we still intend to keep this dear little exhibitionist channel of ours open to the prying public eyes, or should we lock it up so that we can freely say what we want and express our honest opinions to each other? Afterall, a class blog isn't that much for the show-factor than being a convenient communication vehicle. -shrug- think it over, people.

ALRIGHT that aside, I must really thank you guys for turning up on saturday for the movies. It's a pity some of you couldn't come/couldn't stay, but no worries! We can always look forward to the EOY class chalet! :)

Speaking of which, do you guys mind me asking a forthright question? How bonded do you think our class is? Appreciating each other's presence, engaging in fun+laughter with each other, sharing the common lack of abil...i mean, sharing the common love for math- are we bonded by these only? or more? How much do we trust each other? How much sense of belonging to the class do we have? Do we feel a compelling need to compete against the other members of oneE?

Don't laugh or scoff at my last question. On the surface level, such a desire might not manifest itself clear enough for you to be aware of it... but on a subconscious level? Moreover, I'm just taking a general audience in mind when I asked that question; rules of the society applies: might not be relevant to you, but it just might apply for others.

I know jon and some others would wanna stone me for being so serious. I'm not really serious- I'm just concerned. OneD's comparing US with THEM. But what are they comparing?(we supposedly don't have any "ultra goodlooking people" or the "daniel, darius, sean" that they have) What tastes better- chocolates or icecream? Really, each has it's own strengths as well as weaknesses- and huh? Not an appealing idea, i know, but whoever said we have to compromise our class spirit? We needn't have constant confession sessions in class where we exclaim to each other how "I studied ONLY xxx chapters" or convincing others that "I REALLY didn't study!". Or the prophetic "I'm going to fail" indulgence of ours, which, though occasionally true, sometimes proves only to alienate us from a career in fortune telling.

So let's create a new class rule. Whoever's caught parading their lack of preparation for any test, will be fined $1. If that divine prediction comes true, another $1 off your pocket load. If you actually PASS...that'll be $2 contribution to the class fund. WAHAHAHA and i shall use the money collected through fines to pay for the history notes.

hey peeps, just wanna remind u guys about the pe elective programme again. the paper i passed down today is merely a temporary measure before mrs chia gives me the class list, so u guys can still change your choices if u want to. I MUST HIGHLIGHT NOW THAT you should choose the pe elective programme YOU are truly interested in. PLEASE DO NOT BLINDLY FOLLOW YOUR FRIENDS. i saw somebody just copying down choices without even looking at the list for what the codes stand for. seriously, the programme is held for a 5-week period, which means 10 hours of lesson time, so if ur stuck in some shitass programme u have no interest in, its gonna be quite sad, and a waste of time/money too.

and also, please put down 10 choices or at least as many as you can, because if you put only 4 choices for example, and all 4 are popular choices, then it is quite difficult to get the choices you want, and the pe teachers will allocate you people to fill up numbers in other classes, which might totally NOT be your cup of tea.

wow, its been ages since ive blogged here. i wonder if i still can, since some irritating person called rolandchuahung keeps calling me outsider, but i dont care, ive been pretty inspired by jon and eddy's entries.

i miss 1e, alot. actually not so much during the holidays now because im usually with people from 1e, but i know i will when school starts. during this hols most of my veryvery fun times were spent with people from 1e, pre u sem [at times],random outings, my house, yam's place, study sessions, and whatnot. really i cant bear to think of my life without you guys, you are a bunch of absolutely wonderful people. i feel kinda sad thinking that after this, its probably inevitable that i wont be spending as much time with you guys as before, i mean, naturally. but its still weird when people say stuff like "oh you were with your exclassmates today?" because to me, i still dont see you guys as exclassmates, at all.

and yes id like to thank all of you for the wonderful 6months/3months spent with you all. i honestly am more than appreciative for all of you, for having brightening my life in manymany ways. so thank you 1e (:

well jon, just like you, i came to rj after a great time in ajc, and quite frankly, i thot i had made the wrong choice. i took my first steps in the canteen and i sat down wif wai leong, and everyone just seemed so foreign. i felt like a total alien there. and i really wasnt used to being an alien. it was a tough time i guess, and if not for my mum, i realli wud haf transferred back to ajc. but i guess 1e kinda made me feel welcome? hahahaha i think the feelings of regret started to subside after a while, and i felt that it wasn't THAT bad after all.

first day up at that com lab was kinda weird for me. i think without yam there, i wud haf died from the pressure, cos u know, im kinda shy and im not that outspoken n stuff, so i wudnt haf dared to say much about myself. but oh well, when it was my turn i just stood up and told u guys about the sports i like n stuff bout me. and some people actually thot i was anti-social..hahahhaa i dunno how on earth anyone cud haf thot that. but anyway i bet u ppl wished i was antisocial..hahahahha unfortunately im not that antisocial. oh and when i tried to rmb ppl's names, i found shibani's name kinda difficult..hahaha. so i split her name up into she-bunny and thats how i remembered her name. heh its kinda funny how sometimes i called her like two months ago, and i immediately thot of rabbits. haha ridiculous i know.

oh, and somehow the class found out i wasn't antisocial and that i was a freakin lameass. ha

well, this three months has really been a blast for me.

if u haven't already heard, i was at harbourfront today..walked into the toilet and peed into some urinal..then i saw IT.

this indian kid was pissing but his aiming was incredibly horrible. some of his piss ended up on this ah beng standing next to him peeing into the adjacent urinal. OF COURSE, i giggled!! it's so fucking funny i dunno how i stopped myself from guffawing loudly. hmm yar so i giggled. ah beng turned around, glared at me and shouted "knn, hao3 xiao4 ah!" (translated: knn, funny ar!) i apologised immediately and turned to walk out of the toilet. somehow i re-enacted the scene i just witnessed a few moments ago in my mind, and i laffed again..hahahaha. and as i walked out of the toilet, i heard heavy footsteps behind me and i turned to look. i saw that ah beng with a red face, clenching one fist (can't rmb whether it was left or right) and he shouted "KNN" real loud. i knew i was in deep yam. oops shit, i meant shit. deep shit. so i ran like freaking fast, all the time looking back to check whether he was within punching/kicking/tripping/grabbing/scratching/analing/whatever-ing distance. and everybody just stood and watched, without helping me or tripping that ah beng..sigh..singaporeans..anyway i was really scared and i ran dam fast, ran into esprit, came out thru the other exit after a few seconds (shortest time i've EVER spent in esprit) and then i realised i was pulling away from him and i ran into cold storage..and hid in the magazine corner..waited for a few minutes while smsing yam to tell him wat i'd just been thru. hmm basically he lost me..woohoo i love adventures!! just that this one really scared the shit out of me.

well, i'm safe now, and i'm still going eastern europe tmr night with poh...wtf btw im going to poh-land as well...hahahahahaha ok bad joke..

Condom Reef Discovered (Sydney, Australia, 1996)

Oceanographic scientists say they have discovered a vast, floating "reef" of the world's disposed condoms in the middle of the South Pacific, about halfway between Tahiti and Antarctica. The phenomenal mass is almost two miles long, an eighth of a mile wide, and in places up to 60 feet deep, the oceanographers say.

Mason Froule, Australian marine biologist at his country's Oceanographic Laboratory Outpost on Macquarie Island, South Pacific, said the bizarre accumulation is explained by a scientific term called "like aggregation" — that is, the massing of similar objects over short or longer periods of time due to wind or ocean currents, magnetic fields, buoyancy and other conditions.

"It's fairly common in the world's oceans," he said: natural events such as red tides, for example, are instances of "like aggregation." "People with pets that shed lots of hair can see it in their own homes," Froule added. "The dog sheds everywhere in the room, but after falling out, the fur soon collects in a few clumps and masses."

Froule said ocean "reefs" of styrofoam and detergent residues have been observed in the South Pacific and elsewhere for many years, but they are usually broken up by storms before they become large or hazardous. He believes the huge concentration of condoms, not reported before, is more resilient than other "aggregating" ocean materials, and may have been developing for decades. Froule said parts of the newly discovered reef are matted together so densely that "you could almost land a plane on it."

"I suppose it would be funny if it didn't pose the hazard it does to marine life and navigation," Froule stated. "I pity any freighter, submarine, or dolphin, for that matter, that might run into it."

The biologist said he and his Australian scientific colleagues will have the reef mapped by satellite and monitored from now on to see if it expands, breaks up, or drifts from its current location (reported at 63 degrees latitude and 154 degrees longitude). Froule said there would not be much point in trying to break up the pulpy mass with explosives or other devices. "It seems pretty indestructible," he said.

okay..if u haven't heard...our dear pw teacher poh huay woon has signed up for a trip to eastern europe..not just ANY eastern europe tour, she signed up for the SAME one as me..basically. she's in my tour group..like WTF!! what's this shit loh? i was like so shocked to see her at the same building where i was attending the pre-departure briefing, but i just said hi and then i entered the lift, and horror of horrors, she entered the lift too!! and when i was about to press the button for the 7th floor, i realised she had pressed it on the other side..i started to fear the worst. then she asked, "what are u here for?" and i said "erm..holiday" and she just gave this weird smile and i was like REALLY fearing the worst.

we got out at the 7th floor, and then...me n my mum strode over to the reception to find our itineraries waiting there..so i scrolled thru the names and found mine..and i took the sheet of paper, and HORROR OF HORRORS..i saw "POH HUAY WOON" printed in black staring right back at me..her sheet was right below mine.i was like WTF? suddenly eastern europe isn't as attractive anymore..hahha oh well ill just dao her on the trip..

i just have to say. i appreciated the effort that both the RJC rugby team as well as the council put into making my first experience at a rugby finals match memorable. i think putting the loss aside, the RJC rugby team did play the best they could, though maybe they were shaken by nerves. it's just a little mishap that happened and i hope u guys will recover well enough to gives yourselves another shot next year!

i was touched by the passion that the council as well as the student population had for raffles. maybe i was still not completely a rafflesian yet. cheering for chinese high, then for st andrews, maybe it's about time i pour my heart out in RJC. well give me time and i'll probably find more things to cheer abt in RJC.

Hello hello hello, all. missed me? :) Anyway, let this be a prelude to a great week of school ahead...cos next week, there would be a very special certain someone making her grand return to the class. who? me lah, duh. yeah i haven't been in college for an entire week(but i sure as hell am NOT missing it. though the people in 1e, maybe.), and i guess the only downside bout not being around u guys this week is...well...not being around u guys. i've probably missed out on a lot of stuff that's been happening-- workwise or class dynamics-wise. i shan't bother catching up on the former, since i'm already SOOO behind time anyway PLUS, i'm really not in the mood to study. u get my drift.

yeah so anyway with regards to class dynamics-- i know i really shouldn't announce this here on a public blog, but i reallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreally missed every single one of you, and everyday after my nationals i just couldn't wait to rush back to school to have lunch with you people and sit in for eddy's lame jokes. but well of course, i had to go out with my team for lunches. not that i'm really complaining...but...err..you know what i mean.*grin* my dearest 1e, i love all of you for who you are...and that's inclusive of your flaws!!!everyone's flawed (clichéd but true), but how much we like each other's company and how the class runs on the whole shouldn't be determined by our fault lines, but the commonalities that we all share. evidently in our case it's our plain inability to stick with deadlines..as well as that penchant for stupid/lame/corny jokes. so before i go back to school, i'd just like to tell you all this-- forgive and forget. not that i'm exactly in the know about what's been going on in school, i'm just speaking from experience and a rather personal perspective. but i feel that it's such a waste if we allow our class dynamics to be affected by some internal conflict. *sigh* personal conflicts shouldn't EVER be a contributing factor in causing class divides. NEVER, ok? i've been exposed to enough shit for a week, so i'll be glad to have a peaceful retreat back to class.i'm missing wendy's morning songs.hahahahaha.

alright that's besides the point.abel, congrats on being the class rep! one guy one girl ct rep. :)anyway, just a note to you, abel: i'm pretty relieved that u were chosen as the ct rep la. -someone- was thinking of nominating me for ct rep, but on hindsight (as well as with a bit of foresight), i'd like to keep my life from now as politics-free as possible. enough of it in first 3 months to last me a lifetime. i trust that abel would do a great job as ct rep too, and along with yam..they'll be our class mommy/daddy...looking after us kids to make sure that we don't get illtreated/sexually abused (ok, uncalled for.but this is with reference to one specific charbor.) by the teachers, making sure that we kids get long and have fun. OMG. HANG ON, i meant -ALONG.gee. if that typo wasn't bad enough, the first person that error reminded me of was Roland Chua. oh yeah and this just crossed my mind, but i was thinking of having a class outing to esplanade or smth. cos you see with 5 more days to arts fest, and a few promising-looking events going on, we probably could go for one of the theatrical stuff as a class. i checked sistic...the tics aren't that ex la. shall leave u later with some info bout the shows we could turn up for.

ok..gotta cheong my history essay now. omg i haven't even started on the readings!!!can someone/anyone help me with the criteria or tell me what points i could use for my essay? haha i'm SO SO dead la. and all the undone maths tutorial. lemme just pray that mrs kwan won't ever find her way into this blog, but i shall announce here that i havent even done tutorial 8A. no shit. i'm not kidding ya. hahaha. it's no wonder how i'll probably flunk my trigo tutorial test. *sigh* but i don't feel like kancheonging as yet. that shall be left to the june hols...where i would have enough time (and hopefully enough discipline) to get down to work.

dearest ao1e-ers...as of 16 May 2005, Monday, alps wouldn't be with you bunch. well, at least till 20th May 2005 Friday. i'd like to thank the class for putting up wif my mood swings over the past few weeks. basically, i was having some problems with my personal life and i shan't elaborate.

thanks to everyone who gave me advice, tried to console me, comfort me. thanx to all of you who cared for me. this has been the most trying period of my life ever. and thanx even to those who tried to wake me up. i really dunno what i'd do without the wonderful class i have. u people brighten up my day, make me laugh even when i'm feeling like shit and my self-confidence hits rock bottom.

u people have been a great bunch of people not only to hang out and have fun with, as i thought would be the case at first. this class has people who bother to listen to my problems, bother to offer advice, bother to comfort me. this class has people who care. i'm glad i got posted to 1a01e.

thank you once again to those who have shown concern to me. i'll never ever forget all you've done for me.

i love u all. and i assure you the old eddy will be back soon.

had a mini outing today with yam, shibby, mavis, wei, zhihui, weiqi and abel! we felt too good for j8 so we went to town to shop. actually the girls were shopping yam and i followed. abel joined us a lil later. anyways we just walked and walked and walked. untillllllllllllll zhihui showed me something and i was like oh shittttttttttt but yea. shibby, yam, mavis and wei got food and we sat at one 'corner' to eat. and then ZAN came along with her ahem joel. and we talked some more and then yam shibby and mavis sort of ran off to meet someone.

sooooooo wei, zhihui, weiqi, abel and i strolled to the mrt station only to meet those 3 there again. seriously i think this entry is like damn boringggggggg cause i'm damn tired and yes i cant cheer it up! oh no ...
